Where do I start.. To start with my reservation for a full hook up drive through site was turned into a back in with no sewer. Trying to deal with a gum popping kid at the check in desk is no treat. It gets worse, last night I got to see a drunk hillbilly woman stumbling around the campground, she eventually fell on top of a baby she was carrying causing it to stop breathing and that brought theodicy and the paramedics to the campground. If that wasn't bad enough, this morning I am woke up by a disgruntled camper throwing m's as he is leaving the campground. Never again will stay at Twin Mills campground. We stayed late may early june and except for the weekend the camp was pretty empty. Most of the lots are seasonal hundreds of them and most of those units were empty at least during the day. We think that most of those people were working in the area because we did see some lights at night. The facilities are getting old, the bathrooms were not usable as far as we were concerned, and the staff consisted of teenagers that were as you might expect weren't all that excited to be there. The lot we had was nice sized but dirty when we arrived so we spent the first 20 minutes picking up cigarette butts and beer caps. The wood we purchased from the camp store was expensive and wouldn't burn at all. The camp advertised WiFi but they were changing out providers the entire time we were there so it wasn't available and we had to use cellular data. I don't want to give the impression that it was all bad however, the woods were nice and they kept the grass mowed twice while we were there , there is a dog run area, mini golf course, swimming pool, and good lake access with a small swimming area and boat docks. The roads are good and paved and we had no problems with water pressure, the 50 amp power was stable, and the on site sewer was appreciated. Overall I would say if you can get a decent discount through a club or association and you don't the little run down feeling to the place, I wouldn't avoid staying but I won't be purposely going back. Thanks again for your comments. Hope you reconsider and decide to visit us again. The campground was very clean.
